The microphone with directional characteristics similar to omnidirectional is built on the basis of one of the newer ultrasonic transducers by Knowles Acoustics, made in the MEMS (Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems) technology. Thanks to the low self-noise and uniform sensitivity characteristics in the range of 30-120kHz, it allows to make recordings of better quality than using the microphone built into the EM3 detector (and for other equipment with optional adapters as an audio or ultrasonic microphone – contact with Manufacturer).
It is built into the highest quality gold-plated angled 3.5mm mini-jack plug from the Swiss company Neutrik.
